The County Government of Nandi, in collaboration with the Nandi Dairy Cooperative Union (NDCU), has joined forces with Unga Limited Company and DigiCow to enhance the skills and knowledge of dairy farmers organized within Primary Cooperatives.
In preparation for the launch of the Milk Processing Plant, the Union has conducted training sessions for over 340 farmers from 9 primary cooperatives across the County, focusing on implementing best practices to boost production.
During the training session, Mr. James Letting, Chairman of NDCU, emphasized that this initiative marks just the beginning, with plans to engage additional stakeholders to conduct further training sessions aimed at fortifying cooperatives and enhancing yields.
Additionally, farmers received training on poultry farming practices.
